PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
The course builds on the knowledge of managerial techniques from the subject Basics of management and Management psychology, then Basics of Sociology, and Rhetoric. The aim is to deepen and broaden knowledge in the various functions of personnel management methods used for HR planning, recruitment, selection and evaluation and pricing of staff. Practical cases will be analysed.
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
Course management is the culmination of training that create basic conditions for successful business in the era of globalization and informatics. The course continually builds on knowledge gained from the subjects of Management, Personnel management and further expansion of knowledge in the subjects Ethics and Marketing Management. The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge and skills on issues of strategic management as a basis for analysis, selection and implementation of successful business strategy in practice.
QUANTITATIVE METHODS
The course builds on basic knowledge of management techniques for decision making from the subject of Management, and adequate knowledge of the subjects of Mathematics and Applied Statistics. The course focuses on optimization and simulation methods useful for business decisions. Emphasis is placed on problems formulation; simpler methods practice a solution; more complex methods show the nature of solution and possibilities of using software.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The goal is to expand fundamental knowledge of management training on current management disciplines - quality management, project management and prepare graduates for both the prevention of risks in business and in the field of safety at work and environmental protection.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Students choose the study of one language, namely English or German. When choosing a language the previous language study is to be taken into account, because language training builds upon graduation level language skills. The goal is to achieve the level of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for the advanced group and level B2 for the weaker groups. Students should be able to cope linguistically with virtually all communication situations of everyday life, as well as most communication situations in their work environment.
LOGISTICS
The aim of the course is to introduce the principles of logistics and knowledge through practical application of logistics systems to provide an overview of the rational solutions of logistic chains, inventory management and means for handling, packaging and transportation of material.
RHETORIC
The aim is to introduce the students into rhetoric as a science of rhetoric and stylistics, argumentation theory, introduce them into the technique of speech, an oratorical speech, rhetorical devices, the main rhetorical formations, strategy meetings; the foundations of rhetoric for managers and executives as well the foundations of successful leading of business meetings with suppliers and customers.
CORPORATE CULTURE
The aim of the course is based on theoretical knowledge and practical applications is to contribute to the further extension in the field of corporate culture in terms of its determination, properties, types, related influences, possibilities of identification, implementation and changes, including specific components to support the management risk characterized as a culture of safety.
INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY
The students are introduced into philosophy as a method of thought orientation of life steps and the target of intellectual considerations. This should be done not only in the course of history, but also a reflection of our everyday lives. The historical personalities are as important as the problems of everyday life for which we should find the way how to solve them.
PSYCHOLOGY
The goal is to survey the performance of contemporary psychological orientations, to introduce into basic concepts and themes of psychology, primary laws of life and mental health. Students are acquainted with possible practical applications of psychology in management, sales, advertising and law, in relation to themselves and others.
PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
The aim is to introduce the students into the history of ethics and ethical problems. It deals with the application of ethical guidelines in the management process in connection with the code of ethical business. Brief, but necessary is also the etiquette of social intercourse.
