Economics and Law – synergy or antagonism?

will be held on 25 November 2011 under the patronage of. Ing. Karel Englis, a grandson of Prof. Karel Englis
Karel Englis College in Brno, in cooperation with Czech and Slovak colleges and universities, organizes international scientific conference called “Economics and Law – synergy or antagonism?”. We are inspired by the legacy of Prof. Karel Englis, a person dealing with both of these fields who was able to make a beneficial use of their connection in theoretical and practical activities. The aim of this conference is to reflect and discuss current trends in theory and practice in the wider scope of economic and juridical environment in the Czech Republic and in the EU. The focus of the conference is supposed to be in three thematic spheres which will be discussed in the following sections:
- The possibilities of identifiction of current economic trends in the Czech Republic and the influence of global economic environment
- Legal aspects of enterprise, their development and their consequences for economic practice
- The role of management and its tools in the uncertain environment of global enterprise
The conference will also remind of the 10-year long history of the Karel Englis College in Brno in the context of general development of academic education.
